Duties * Provide therapeutic speech and language services to students as required through the development of Individual Educational Plans. * Work directly with the classroom team to establish and maintain an integrated therapy program. * Implement a screening process to determine verbal and auditory skills, oral-motor structure and functioning, and diagnosis of students as directed. * Participate in shared educational activities as part of a team; parent/teacher conferences, team meetings, etc. * Utilize a variety of therapy methods as needed to meet students' needs, i.e. individual, group, pull-out, integrated, etc. Qualifications * Hold a Masters Degree in Communication Disorders * Hold a registered, valid Illinois Professional Educator License, with Endorsement in Speech and Language Disorders. We aim to provide comprehensive special education programs and related services to Students Pre K- age 22 with disabilities, who are residents of our member districts. We are hiring full-time and part-time SLPs. All positions are at the new AERO Therapeutic Center in Burbank, IL. Our new therapeutic center offers a collaborative environment for SLPs to work with IEP teams and fellow Speech & Language Pathologists. AERO supports students from EC to age 22, allowing SLPs to engage in classroom activities, 1:1 sessions, and small group work. The center's design includes breakout spaces for more personalized learning. SLPs have dedicated workspaces for reports and materials, AERO provided assessment tools, curriculum materials, PECS subscriptions, communication supports, and assistive technology consultation.
