We're hiring a
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric team at
Pine Cone Therapies in
Southlake, TX (with time also spent at our
Keller location)! You will provide treatment to assigned clients, and help clients reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.

Does this sound like you?
- You have an associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance and a state license in good standing.
- You have prior experience working with pediatric clients.
- You are eager to grow your skills in high-demand clinical areas such as AAC, feeding, and childhood apraxia of speech.
- You have prior experience assisting in assessments to identify the strengths and needs of each client.

Your Role As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
Our interdisciplinary approach means that you will collaborate with other Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts. As a member of our team, you will:
- Assist in conducting comprehensive evaluations to diagnose communication and feeding disorders.
- Make appropriate cross-referrals to other disciplines as needed.
- Support the development of individualized treatment plans and goals for each client based on their unique needs and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to help clients improve their speech, language, social, and feeding skills.
- Educate families, staff, and the community on the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to support a child's communication skills.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as pediatric therapists, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
- Keep detailed records of progress and collaborate with the speech-language pathologist in identifying areas of growth.
