The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serves as a clinical consultant to a caseload of children across settings, providing staff professional training as part of their program consultation. The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) evaluates and addresses communication and swallowing difficulties among our service recipients. This position will support enhanced communication, overall wellness and quality of life, while maintaining quality, service excellence and professional standards.

Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Assist the SLP during student assessments
Document student performance and progress (e.g., charts, graphs, frequency counts)
Prepare and organize therapy materials and communication tools
Support students in their natural learning environments
Maintain accurate and confidential records, including reports and treatment plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in planning meetings
Develop positive relationships with students and their families or guardians
Comply with HIPAA, ASHA Code of Ethics, and state regulations
Participate in required training and professional development activities
Promote and uphold the organization's mission, values, and policies
Respond appropriately to safety concerns and follow emergency protocols
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Two-year Associate’s degree or higher in speech-language pathology, communication sciences and disorders or communication disorders awarded by an educational program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech-Language Pathology.
Hold a Speech Language Pathology Assistant license or eligible to obtain one.
Skills & Knowledge
Computer literacy/proficiency, including experience working within electronic health records (EHRs).
Excellent writing skills with experience preparing clinical reports and progress summaries.
Excellent verbal communication skills with experience leading clinical meetings, sharing case information to support staff, and presenting to other clinical disciplines.
Strong understanding of human rights, self-determination, and individualized treatment planning.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Valid driver’s license and evidence of a safe driving record.
