Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Technician to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Concord, MA.

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Concord, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday with no weekends (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM)

Pay Range: $17.20/hr - $22/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• Perform general support tasks in the Specimen Processing Department (e.g., A-station, presort, specimen transport, centrifugation, aliquoting).
• Accurately and efficiently enter data (6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour required).
• Maintain knowledge of specimen types and related test orders, adapting to daily compliance changes.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Work in a fast-paced, production-based, biohazard environment following all safety protocols.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to schedule changes, including night shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and foster a positive team environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to company values and compliance procedures.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge required.

Preferred: Knowledge of lab testing and/or specimen processing

Work Experience: Preferred

• Previous lab experience
• Medical background (including clinical lab terminology)
• Hospital lab experience
• Experience in a production environment
