Your impact

The role of the Specialist Inclusion, Diversity, and Belonging is to formulate, facilitate, and support the development and installation of culture principles, associated risk and compliance work, initiatives and programs related to Inclusion and Diversity and Respect at Work into operational and people management processes, practices and systems.

As part of our team you will

  • Coordinate and support the integration and execution of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Respect at Work (IDE/R@W) initiatives and principles into existing systems and processes in close partnership with cross functional and operational teams (TM/TA/HSS, etc.)
  • Build and improve IDE Learning Library including latest IDE/R@W research/leading practices (e.g. Day In The Life Of studies, regional/site cultural context, value shares, and capability building programs)
  • Support development of IDE/R@W policies, learning pathways, frameworks and standardized practices, elevating opportunities to improve, informed by key business stimulus (e.g. Working Together, cultural context, listening survey/feedback, etc.).
  • Build/improve IDE/R@W functional discipline toolkits, inclusive of market trends, functional innovation, technology/AI subject matter knowledge (enhancements or effects of) etc.
  • Design IDE/R@W awareness/marketing campaigns anchored in storytelling, inclusive of any/all required data/reporting requirements, and monitor its impact, modernizing to make improvements and compel action.
  • Support leadership and BRG IDE capability building/education via external leading class methods and resources; design/build capability assessment measurements and coordinate their infusion into performance management, recognition, learning/development vehicles
  • Support build of IDE team capability incorporating external trends in IDE/R@W, perform external benchmarking, assess, and recommend improvements for IDE/R@W practitioners
  • Develop and support IDE comms and branding (internal/external) to drive and sustain awareness; scope and identify external partnerships that promote Respectful and Inclusive behaviors within and outside the business
  • Support cycle of IDE/R@W (or related) enterprise compliance and reporting, disclosures (e.g. ASR, Proxy, etc.)
  • Support recognition programs for key IDE contributions, coordinate infusion into performance assessment modules

Prerequisites for success in this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Sociology or related field preferred.
  • Masters Degree in Diversity and Inclusion, Organizational Leadership or a related discipline preferred.
  • Ability to monitor and diagnose processes and procedures.
  • Effectively analyze data and recommend process improvements.
  • Capability to formulate alternative methods, with indirect feedback, for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in developing and optimizing learning pathways and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of (or ability to acquire) functional trends and suggest system improvements.
  • Ability to develop plans and design impactful marketing packages and monitor their effectiveness.

Your work environment

  • This position can be located at our corporate headquarters in Denver, CO or our regional office in Vancouver, BC
  • If hired in British Columbia, the pay range for this position is CAD $118,320 to $155,295

The salary range offered for this role is USD $110,160 to 144,585. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
