Job Profile Summary
The Data Licensing and Operations (“DL&O”) group is a team that governs and administers the data vendor relationships and contracts for all FactSet processes that procure data from external sources.
This role is part of the Data Licensing & Operations Team with responsibility for the coordination and management of third-party data, including delivering FactSet’s monthly reporting obligations to Exchange sources and other operational processes. Working closely with all members of Data Licensing & Operations Team, Sales, Finance, Legal and Product Development, as well as coordination with clients and data providers.
The Specialist responsibility is critical in coordinating and managing the onboarding of third-party data. The successful candidate will acquire vendor authorization for new content and ensure products are released on the FactSet platform in a manner that complies with vendor requirements.
The successful candidate will use their in-depth knowledge and analytical skills to manage independent projects that requires coordinating with other departments and external contacts.
Job Description/Responsibilities
- 40% of the role involves executing the following:
- Oversee the handling of incoming permissioning request orders across various systems by ensuring the completeness of orders, resolving any missing information with the requester, and delegating tasks to team members for further processing.
- Respond to data information requests from internal FactSet colleagues or delegate inquiries to the appropriate members of the Data Licensing and Operations (DLO) team for further action
- Support with the approval process to get clients licensed by the data suppliers
- FactSet Digital's monthly reporting and operational duties
- 20% Coordinate with vendors and internal groups including Sales, Finance, Product Development and Legal to support and implement data vendor administrative processes.
- 20% Contract management according to business needs by liaising with third party vendors and internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
- 20% Lead departmental projects both independent and group with guidance. Lead in data compliance related initiatives as the need arises. Maintain the team’s internal Sharepoint pages and train team members on how to create pages and publish their information on Sharepoint.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated fluency in English, both verbally and in written word
- Good understanding of Market Data and Exchange policy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to correspond with a diverse group of stakeholders and vendors
- Strong understanding of finance and procurement processes
- Minimum 1 to 3 years in a Specialist role or equivalent
- Ability to utilize and understand FactSet’s proprietary tools and systems for exchange administration.
- Strong computer skills including Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, and to learn FactSet’s Data Licensing and Operations Proprietary systems
- Excellent critical thinking skills in solving complex issues
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and handle a high volume of tasks
- Willingness to work in a global organization with team members in different geographic locations
