SPANISH/ESL TEACHER JobID: 467 Position Type: High School Teaching/Foreign Language - Spanish Date Posted: 5/8/2025 Location: Lodi High School   POSITION: SPANISH/ESL TEACHER LOCATION: Lodi High School EFFECTIVE: September 1, 2025 Requirements: * Valid New Jersey English as a Second Language Teacher Certificate and NJ Teaching Certificate for Teacher of Spanish. * Knowledgeable about the student identification process for language services including Home Language Survey review, Student Registration form review, and a review of students' individual records and administering the district-approved screening assessment. * Ability to recommend entry and exit of students from the ESL program based on multiple criteria established by the district and the New Jersey Department of Education. * Knowledge of state regulations as regarding ESL outlined New Jersey Administrative Code. * Proven ability to prepare and deliver lessons for students; demonstrate best practices for teaching language learners. * Ability to develop strong relationships with families in order to provide service coordination, support, and training to assist families in meeting the needs of their ESL children, and enhancing parents' role as the primary influence on their child's education and development. * Applicants must demonstrate a strong knowledge of the NJSLS for World Languages and instructional strategies to engage all students in meaningful coursework. * Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to professional growth including strategies for teaching students how to comprehend, speak, read and write a foreign language as well as an aptitude for using technology to support innovative teaching strategies.
