We are looking for a Solutions Engineer for our West Coast team. As a
Solutions Engineer, you'll play a key role in helping prospective and existing customers understand how Harmonic can address their unique challenges.
Your days will be a mix of engaging with prospects and existing clients to demonstrate the capabilities of our product through technical storytelling, building proof of concept (POC) plans, and executing them smoothly and successfully. Our Solutions Engineers are experts in bridging the gap between the customer and our product and engineering teams, ensuring that real-world customer requirements are clearly understood, helping to drive the evolution of our product.
Success in this role means building strong relationships with customers, guiding them through their AI adoption journey, and ensuring they feel confident and empowered to use Harmonic's solution to its fullest potential.
Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for all pre-sale technical activities
- Collaborate closely with customers to create and execute tailored POCs that highlight how Harmonic simplifies data protection for the GenAI era
- Work as part of the West Coast sales team to close new business opportunities and support existing customers through the lifetime of their contracts
- Work closely with product and marketing to turn deep technical insights into compelling content and messaging
- Stay on top of the competitive landscape to help shape our story and spotlight what makes Harmonic stand out
Requirements
We're looking for someone:
- With a proven track record in a solutions engineering or presales engineering role. Experience in customer-facing post-sales roles such as technical customer engineering or technical account management, or in security, is a plus
- Who has hands-on experience and a deep understanding of deploying and managing browser extensions, as well as working with MDM solutions such as Intune, JAMF, and Kandji
- Who flourishes in the unknown. Our solutions engineers work fearlessly with new tools and in new environments, and can diagnose and remediate issues in the heat of the moment without breaking a sweat
- Who never hesitates to put their hand up to take on challenges and assist others who need help
- Who has scripting experience (Python, Shell Scripts, PowerShell, etc.) - software development experience is a strong plus
- Who is proactive and takes initiative, delivering what's best for the customer with minimal guidance, if necessary
- Who is a self-starter, unafraid to research and investigate, and believes they're never more than a Google search away from solving a problem
