Job Description: Solutions Architect, Staff

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Solution Architect to join the team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and self-motivated individual with strong consulting skills, commitment to quality, positive work ethic and a "can do" attitude. This is a challenging position which will test your technical, consulting and subject matter abilities. You will be working with cross functional professional groups & financial institutions (business and technology) to design tailored online payment, mobile payment solutions using web services. The job will require clearly articulating the functionality, use cases, benefits and best practices of applications.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with solution developers, management, strategists, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of solution capabilities with business needs
• Collaborate with architects, solution developers and project teams to ensure proper technology design and non-functional considerations are addressed at each phase of the system life cycle to maximize processing efficiency, security and component reuse
• Educate customers and prospects regarding the solution architecture and capabilities
• Champion new solutions and approaches and guide successful technical adoption through mentoring, instruction, and by actively participating in software development projects
• Create and maintain architecture models, including visual artifacts such as sequence diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, class diagrams, process / data flow diagrams, use cases and other documentation as needed.
• Conduct technical research and prototyping
• Assist in troubleshooting of complex and unusual technical problems
• Must be a self-starter with proven experience working with minimal supervision and works well within a team structure
• Ability to present ideas to internal and customer management
• Ability to research new technologies or products

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor degree in business or B.A./B.S. degree in technical discipline (Graduate degree preferred) or equivalent work experience

Skills/Knowledge:

• 5+ years of experience on client implementations, technical design or solution delivery
• Skilled in integration approaches and strategies, preferably someone who has done work involving web services
• Design online and mobile payment solutions using tailored web services
• Lead the adoption of new technologies like mobile applications, SAML, PING, OAUTH and Web Services using SAS model
• Experience in Requirement analysis, estimation and scoping projects
• Proficiency with Design Patterns, Object Oriented Analysis, Design, or Development.
• Experience in multi-threaded application architecture, development and deployment
• Understanding of Unified Modeling Language (UML), including experience creating sequence diagrams, database diagrams, class diagrams, process flow diagrams
• Experience with XML, XSL, XSLT, and Web Service Standards, i.e. WS, SPLUNK and monitoring tools
• Understanding of basic protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, SOAP, SSL, REST

Job Related Experience

• Two years or more years of software development experience
• Experience with multiple platforms, technologies, languages and environments
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language and business process modeling
• Banking or Financial Services Industry experience preferred
• Experience dealing with offshore teams preferred
