**JOB TITLE:** Solution Project Manager - Contractor **DEPARTMENT:** PMO **REPORTING TO:** PMO Manager MEA **ADDITIONAL INFO:** Contract-based Role **PURPOSE OF POSITION** As a leader in downstream petroleum automation, GVR delivers advanced digital solutions to fuel retailers and home base customers. This new role of Solution Project Manager is introduced to manage the software development lifecycle of automation solutions, focusing on design, build, integration, testing, and validation stages. The Solution Project Manager is responsible for driving the delivery of automation and digital projects from requirements gathering through development, internal QA, customer UAT, pilot execution, and sign-off. This role collaborates closely with internal product, engineering, QA, and customer teams while ensuring timelines, quality, and scope are achieved prior to deployment and rollout. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Lead the end-to-end software project cycle until pilot delivery and customer sign-off. - Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product and Engineering teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements, as well as defining clear scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria for software projects. - Create and maintain detailed project schedules and weekly action plans. - Manage resources, risks, and dependencies within the solution phase of the project. - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, QA, and customer stakeholders. - Oversee the execution of integration testing, UAT, and pilot activities. - Drive the solution sign-off process, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met. - Manage project documentation including scope statements, change logs, and test plans. - Communicate project status clearly to internal stakeholders and customer representatives. - Ensure customer satisfaction through early validation and rapid feedback cycles. - Identify and escalate blockers or change requests early in the lifecycle. - Support knowledge transfer to deployment/rollout teams post sign-off. **DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY** As per PMO governance policies. Escalations and decisions outside software scope are referred to the PMO Manager **POSITION RELATIONSHIPS** _Internal_ Solution Architects, Product Management, Engineering, R&D, QA, PMO, Technical Support, Billing _External_ Customer project counterparts, third parties and partners. **MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE** - Solution delivery within time and scope - Quality of UAT and pilot outcomes - Customer sign-off rate and satisfaction - Change management efficiency - Accuracy and timeliness of project documentation and reporting - Internal stakeholder and customer feedback **PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE** Education/ Achievements _Required_ Degree in IT, Software Engineering, or related field _Preferred_ PMP, Agile/Scrum certification Experience/Knowledge _Required_ 5+ years of experience in software project management or solution delivery Strong familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Waterfall models _Preferred_ Experience in automation or digital transformation in the petroleum sector Multinational or multi-country project experience Specific Skills Strong coordination and planning capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management Experience managing UAT and pilot phases Structured problem-solving and decision-making Bilingual preferred (English + French or Arabic) Strong attention to detail and risk control **ROLE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES & BEHAVIOURS** **Customer Obsessed** Solicits voice of the customer and drives actions to improve customer experience Holds others accountable for meeting customer needs Addresses gaps in the team's ability to meet emerging customer needs Continuously improves processes to be more aligned with the customers **Inspiring** Thinks beyond the day-to-day, taking a long-term, big-picture view of the business.
