The Role Job Title Solution Architect Location Gurgaon, India Main purpose of role To be an integral part of Delivery Solution Architecture capability responsible for developing and maintaining solution delivery design patterns, reference architectures, associated artefacts & decision logs engaging with business (pre-sales, core architecture, R&D etc.,) teams, product teams, delivery, customer teams and strategic partners Key Role Responsibilities Works closely with customers, MYCOM OSI pre-sales team, system integrators etc., leading technical and business value discussions, assisting the customer with requirement and use case authoring Is an active member of Architectural Governance and Assurance forums within MYCOM OSI to define, maintain reference architectures/architecture blueprints, design patterns and communicate the same to wider business functions & project delivery teams Assists the core Architecture function and Delivery Enterprise Architect in building strategic vision and aligning tactical solution delivery within customer projects to long term strategies Assessing the overall Solution architecture model that MYCOM OSI products have within the OSS ecosystem and ensuring that MYCOM OSI is aligned to this model through customer led product enhancement requests for roadmap and project-based customisations Advises customers in the dimensioning, architecture and deployment of solutions and their environments that meets their technical, business and compliance need and align to the MYCOM OSI roadmap. Working with the customer on long term plans to align environments to future MYCOM OSI releases Reports Any design deviation of product(s) implementation is reported back to Architecture Governance and Assurance forums for optioneering and decisioning Delivers the overall service design & transition of implemented solution with supporting architectural artefacts Assess solution architectures compliancy to industry standards such as TMF/ETSI from data models (SID), interface/API (Open APIs / TIP) and business processes (eTOM) perspective to issue gap analysis for the customer or MYCOM OSI benefit Owns and improves the technical best practices guidelines to be re-used across customer deployments Brings deep subject matter expertise on the topics such as but not limited to Network Functions Virtualization, Software Define Networks etc. Assists the delivery team with solution design and delivery throughout the project lifecycle providing architectural assurance Works alongside the Delivery Engineering functioning to deploy standard and new designs whilst ensuring lessons learnt are documented, shared and benefits realized Gains insight into customer's environment, challenges, and opportunities in order to propose areas where MYCOM OSI products and solutions can add value Shares and communicates end-to-end designs, ideas and propositions (orally and in writing) to executives, business sponsors, and technical resources Providing ongoing feedback to product management and R+D for delivery of best practices and contribute towards continual business process improvement activities Support the customer in engaging with MYCOM OSI for realization of the features which provide tangible improvements to their business The Person Skills (technical and non-technical) & Qualifications Must have TECHNICAL 10+ years of experience of proven track record of successful delivery in large and complex Telecommunications OSS projects in similar roles 5+ years of working as a Telecoms Architect ideally working for an SI. Ability to demonstrate clear and strong leadership Excellent knowledge of IT technologies used for NFV such as cloud deployment/management and Open-Source frameworks Key skills required are Openstack/Openshift, configuration and management of VMs, APIs, Containers Excellent knowledge of TMF eco-system and in particular TAM/SID, Open APIs / TMF Interfaces and latest NFV related enhancements as part of ZOOM, active participation in TMF activities a plus Familiar with ETSI standards and models for NFV Familiar with SDN (Software Defined Network) principles and ONF (Open Networking Foundation) and MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum) Will have excellent communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white-board discussion with customers Exposure to and experience of Agile Delivery methods Exposure to and experience delivery in a DevOps model Demonstrable experience of working on solutions in an NFV environment Experience of working for Software Vendor Performance, Fault or Service Management experience Understanding of OSS Inventory/CMDB and cataloguing functions Experience in SQL and data modelling SNMP protocol knowledge PERSONAL Self-driven individual who is result oriented Excellent communication and presentation skills Leadership, credibility, demonstrates initiative Ability to influence internally and bring order to dynamic situations Organization and time management skills Familiarity with the appropriate industry standards Calm in a crisis Able to engage with CXO level representatives of customers and partners Willingness to travel Experience & Expertise (if requesting specific number of years’ experience – please specify why) 10+ years of experience of proven track record of successful delivery in large and complex Telecommunications OSS projects in similar roles 5+ years of working as a Telecoms Architect ideally working for an SI TOGAF or related certification is a plus Key competencies Customer Satisfaction Communication Financial Awareness Multi-tasking and prioritization of activities Education & Qualifications Bachelor or Masters degree in a related subject or extensive industry experience
