Summary

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Soldering and Assembly Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components and products according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs.
  • Assemble mechanical and electronic components using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies for quality and functionality.
  • Identify and correct defects or rework assemblies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and comply with safety and ESD protocols.
  • Report issues in components or processes to the supervisor or engineering team.


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of soldering and assembly experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
  • Proficiency in hand soldering (IPC certification preferred).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience with microscope soldering and rework.
  • Familiarity with electronic testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies).
