Summary

Solar Engineer/Technical Lead (Technical Support):

Oversee post-installation support, troubleshooting, and customer satisfaction for the company’s products in Florida. The role requires technical expertise in solar energy storage systems and involves diagnosing faults, providing customer guidance, and assisting in product rollouts. This position will also contribute to sales support, product training, and process improvement to ensure efficient technical service delivery and brand establishment in the region.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Provide post-installation support to end users, resolving issues and faults that may arise
  • Provide technical guidance over the phone, helping to diagnose issues and supporting customers with technical questions
  • Provide effective troubleshooting and problem resolution, ensuring that support cases are handled in line with customer service standards and resolved in a timely manner. Serve as the point of escalation for high-priority or complex issues
  • Work closely with the Sales function, providing responses to technical enquiries to facilitate orders
  • Maintain a deep understanding of products in order to provide accurate guidance and responses to technical issues
  • Provide training on new products to keep customers up to date on product improvements and developments in service
  • Support with new product roll-outs, seeking feedback from installers and end users and updating product development teams accordingly
  • Support with warranty returns by tracking faulty equipment and facilitating the completion of the return and replacement/refund process

  • Valid drivers license and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across Florida, as well as the wider USA

Skills and attributes

  • Proven experience in a technical support or a related field within the solar industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of energy storage solutions, with expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • Highly organised and structured with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with support ticketing systems and customer relationship management

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field

  • Salary Range - $100,000 - $130,000 (doe)
