As an international company we are looking for a Solar Design Engineer who will work in Manila, Philippines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS
- Electrical Engineering degree from a reputable university
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical designing
- Renewable energy experience is an asset
- Develop detailed design drawings, technical specification and all documentation required for HV&MV&LV in line with technical solution according to the customer´s requirements, budget, and planning.
- Provide support on tendering activities, supplier development in collaboration with supply chain
- Prepare systems architecture
- Being experienced in and/(or) having vast knowledge in preparing bill of quantity/bill of material list
- Prepare request for quotation to be sent to suppliers
- Evaluate suppliers’ technical offers
- Familiar with all codes and calculations
- Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for engineering firms and contractors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, DIgSILENT Power Factory, ETAP etc.
- Having SCADA and Communication System knowledge is plus.
- Experience in design programs 2D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
- Having good planning, organization, multitasking skills as well as reporting abilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- HV&MV&LV System Single Line Diagram Drawing (One and Half Busbar, Double Busbar, etc.)
- Selection and design of all equipment in the LV&MV&HV systems (acc. to clarify specification and international/local standards), (current transformer, voltage transformer, surge arrester, etc.)
- Power System Calculation
- Short Circuit Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Earthing Calculation, Equipment Sizing Calculation
- Protection and Coordination Study; Relay Coordination and Selectivity, HV&MV Relay Protection (50/50N, 51/51N, 67/67N, 21/21N, 87L, 87T, 27, etc.), Generator Protection Relay Setting, Researching international specific protection methods
- Calculations and reporting belong to design of the HV&LV AC system, Selection of Auxiliary Transformer, Selection of Power Transformer, and other equipments
- Calculation of LV, DC&AC, MV&HV AC-System, selection of suitable cable and conductor cross-section
- Calculation of voltage-drop, power losses, design of compensation, etc. according to the International Local standard sor Client Requirements
- Defining and dealing with approval of all materials
