Job Brief: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our quality assurance (QA) team. The Manual Tester will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they meet the company's quality standards. This role involves creating and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with the development team to resolve issues.


Responsibilities:

Develop and review high-quality and accurate test scenarios, input test data, and expected results for all test phases.

Execute tests systematically to ensure software quality.

Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to identify defects and ensure product stability.

Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.

Identify, document, and track defects and issues using defect tracking tools.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand software requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.

Participate in document and peer reviews to ensure testability of the test basis.

Provide feedback to the development team to improve the design and functionality of the product.

Implement standard processes and tooling laid down by the organization.

Supervise testers in the execution of test cases and provide guidance as needed.

Raise any test issues and escalate them appropriately.


Requirements:

Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Quality Center).

Ability to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.

Knowledge of database concepts and SQL queries.

Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., .NET, HTML) and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA).
