Job Description: * Creating Test plans, test cases and test reports with development engineers for specific features and c. * Assist in investigating/debugging/troubleshooting software /hardware issues employing tools available e.g. Wireshark, Omnipeek , Jmeter, Iperf, IXIA, Spirent etc. * Develop test plans for regression testing, negative testing, usability testing , Performance testing and system testing. * Execute Test plans by performing functional, regression and system testing. * Automate repeated tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure using Python/Perl/TCL programming languages. * Virtualization and Private Cloud Technology: Virtualization on x86 architecture , OPENSTACK, VMware ESXi, vCenter VRO, DPDK, SRIOV, and KVM. * Public cloud based infrastructure as a Service: Especially Amazon VPC & EC2 instances, ELB Lambda, IAM, Auto scaling, S3 bucket & AMI Migration. * Container based service schedulers(e.g. Dockers, Kubernetes, ECS, etc). * Proven Understanding of layer3 networking protocols(e.g. BGP, OSPF). * Coordinating with cross-functional test engineering and QA teams to ensure adequate test coverage of complex features. * Document and report isssues, bugs from release build on JIRA and verify bug fixes or new features. * Follow up with the development team to drive the resolution of the reported defects. * Set up test environment for Automation, Performance and scalability testing. * Actively participate in meetings and provide feedback for quality improvement at each test cycle. * Ensure cable routing standards and other safety standards are adhered for testing. * Respond / Address JIRA tickets /requests for test lab setup issues. Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in computer science or related field.
