Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Job Description
The Software Test Engineer will develop and perform software verification testing. The role requires a good understanding of the software development life cycle aligned with AS9100, requirement verifications, test methods, and root cause/corrective action investigations. Additional duties include the verification of flight hardware, development of test cases, and ground software for verification testing. The engineer will also devise test procedures to ensure correct software operation and perform unit tests for regression analysis and requirements verification.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute software verification testing.
* Align software development life cycle with AS9100 standards.
* Perform requirement verifications and test methods.
* Investigate root cause and corrective actions.
* Verify flight hardware and develop test cases.
* Develop ground software for verification testing.
* Devise test procedures for correct software operation.
* Perform unit tests for regression analysis and requirements verification.
Essential Skills
* Proficient with Python development.
* Experience in software regression testing for 1+ years.
* Familiarity with tool chains and version control systems.
* Understanding of C/C++.
* Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
* Ability to develop new test scripts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Experience with space/defense requirements.
* Understanding of test equipment and hardware/software testing.
* GUI testing experience.
Work Environment
You will work alongside 4-5 Embedded Software Developers, testing and verifying new software. The role offers an opportunity to lead the Software Verification team and collaborate with the Software Development leadership team. You will support both defense and lunar programs, including Gateway and Artemis.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.00/hr.
