Overview

Astrion is currently seeking a qualified Software Test Engineer to support the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate at Redstone Arsenal.

Duties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Work with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure that requirements are complete, testable, and traced to the appropriate test case.
• Responsible for evaluating the requirements produced by the development team, creating the appropriate test cases/steps to properly test the product using automated testing techniques where appropriate.
• Ensuring that the test approach, content, and execution meets quality requirements, that all test events and failures are accurately recorded and tracked as required by the defined process, and providing status to project lead or test lead on task assignments.
  
  

Preferred Experience/Requirements

• Must currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Clearance will need to be verified by Astrion Security and must be maintained
• Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and 3+ years of related experience, or 8+ years direct experience in lieu of a degree.
• Candidate is expected to have/acquire and maintain an active Security+ certification.
• Candidate must demonstrate competency in the following skill areas:
• Experience in structured software development and testing processes
• Experience taking software requirements and formulating software test cases
• Possess a technical aptitude for developing automated tests
• Experience preparing test plans, test descriptions, and test reports
• Experience conducting software tests and analyzing test data
