Kforce has a client in East Hartford, CT that is hiring a Software Test Engineer to support their product development team. Summary: This position will be responsible for understanding the workings of a mathematical simulation model, developing, testing, and maintaining the technical components of the product and assume overall technical lead duties. These duties include developing prototypes, developing software, unit testing, maintain code repository, deploying code to various environments, peer review for quality, guide junior developers, documentation, and configuration of underlying technologies. The selected individual will work with other stakeholders providing guidance and implementing solutions to power the use of the product within the company. Key Responsibilities: * Software Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain quality evaluation with test cases and systems with practices and documentation to ensure a quality product * Provides explanations of testing activities and plans, methods and/or technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes * Provides analysis and develops recommendations for corrective actions for improvements, issues, and risks for software solutions * Work with cross-functional team for creating specifications, testing plans, methods, and tools to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) * Ensures documentation and practices are compliant with requirements, industry standards and regulations, objectives and/or contracts * As a Software Test Engineer, you will develop proactive quality initiative strategies, research new technologies, and drive their implementation * Ensures all requirements are met for software solutions in appropriate environments* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in Technical Quality Assurance with knowledge in white and black box testing, regression testing, performance testing, functional & non-functional testing & Test automation * Experience designing and implementing automated testing of digital products * Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and reports * Experience working in high priority products using Agile methodology and collaborating effectively across full SDLC * Expertise in automated testing frameworks like UFT, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, Jasmine, Cucumber, Chai, Mocha, or others * Proficiency in programming or scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, TypeScript, Node, and Python * Demonstrated capability in making timely, difficult decisions to ensure project priorities meet critical business needs and timelines * Possess strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all levels within the company as an -active listener- and then execute results * Diligent, disciplined, reliable and strives for quality work
