Software Team Lead | Fintech | Utrecht

I'm currently partnered with a fast-growing fintech company based in Utrecht, scaling their Engineering team. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a talented Software Team Lead to join their team.

As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of our innovative fintech applications. You will utilize your expertise in Node.js to build scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.

Crucial skills:

• Expert knowledge of Node and TypeScript, good knowledge of different database types (relational, non-relational), GraphQL
• Experience leading team of 2+ engineers
• Experience working in fast paced environments
• Experience with agile workflows, ability to decide what approach works best in each situation
• Ability and eagerness to mentor, coach and facilitate the growth of fellow team members
• Proactive in coming up with solutions, challenging product decisions, optimizing processes
• Focused on delivering business value
• Experience with distributed architectures (microservices and serverless), event driven communication
• Good knowledge of AWS with focus on efficiency, scalability and costs (our stack is Lambdas, Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Redis)
• Good understanding of monitoring and observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, etc.)
• Good understanding about network and data security, previous experience working with sensitive data

Preferred skills:

• Experience working with financial data
• Experience working with third-party API providers (specifically banks and accounting systems)
• Experience with SST framework
