Summary

Job Title: Software Support Engineer

Location: New York, NY. (Hybrid - 3 Days/Week in Office)

Duration: 12 Month of Project (Temp to Hire)

Pay Rate: $50/hr. to $59/hr. on W2 (without benefits)


Position Overview:

  • Location: 1 NY Plaza (Office Attendance 3 times per week from Day 1)
  • Coverage: Normal shift, Weekend support, Holiday work, late shift in rotations and extended shifts at times.
  • Bachelors: required


The core responsibilities of this team include:

  • Production Management, Root Cause analysis and resolution in line with SRE principles, SDLC and Change Management rules.
  • 3rd party software maintenance, entitlements management, integration testing, and deployment-Resilience and DR testing: Developing and enforcing infrastructure best practices for 3rd party and internally developed applications-Plant Hygiene and management for different BUs


Skills Required:

  • We are looking for a strong Production Management candidate.
  • You will have experience of managing, deploying to and debugging large scale production environments.
  • You will work with firewall teams and submit tickets for rule changes and troubleshooting requests.
  • You will be able to write secure, testable, robust code.
  • You will be responsible for on-call responsibilities shared with a global team.
  • You will be joining a global team of highly accomplished engineers, developers, and operations specialists.
  • You will contribute and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
  • You will have experience with Change Management and Problem management practices.
  • You will have experience with Perl or Python development for automation.
  • You will be expected to act like an owner.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Enterprise Level Experience in Large Distributed Environment.
  • In Depth Experience with Linux System Administration preferably Red Hat.
  • Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, Experience with networking and security concepts, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and solutions.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a highly visible faced paced enterprise environment.
  • Ability to work with a global team.
  • An understanding of Problem and Change Management Practices.
  • An understanding of SLA, Metrics, and Alerts.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to write technical documentation and teach team members.


Addons

  • Coding experience with Perl/Python and shell scripting.
  • Experience automating workflow.
