About The Role

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Tester who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our Commerce flows. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with the development and product teams to ensure a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about user experience and a skilled collaborator that gracefully handles remote communication. Above all, we are looking for someone excited about our mission: to equip the church to grow in the light of the Bible.

NOTE: The applicant must be able to work from our Mexico offices or remotely within the country.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for our e-commerce applications.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and design effective test strategies for new features.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues not captured in test cases.
  • Participate in team scrum ceremonies to provide testing updates and feedback.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of testing processes and results.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.


Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working as part of an established QA team.
  • Experience reproducing and reporting software bugs, ideally from customer reports.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle.
  • Experience with testing web applications.


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with automated testing.
  • Experience working with e-commerce sites or applications
  • Prior experience working with remote US-based teams.
