Note: This is a hybrid role and requires 2x weekly onsite in Rockville, MD. We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Tester with Scrum Master experience to support one of our clients in Rockville, MD. This hybrid role blends the technical skills of a Quality Assurance Analyst with the leadership abilities of a Scrum Master to bridge business needs and technical solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Agile methodologies to ensure the quality of software deliverables throughout the development lifecycle. Your leadership will empower cross-functional teams to achieve continuous improvement, guiding them toward successful product delivery. Responsibilities Integrate test planning, automation, and performance testing into development. Collaborate with developers to ensure high-quality code and product standards. Define and manage release and regression test plans. Design and execute test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria. Write and analyze automated scripts; troubleshoot and resolve issues. Identify, prioritize, and track software defects. Write basic SQL scripts to validate data. Communicate progress with project teams and share knowledge with team members. Scrum Master Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (PI planning, sprints, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives). Guide teams on Agile principles for continuous improvement and delivery. Manage dependencies and align them with team goals. Coach teams on self-organization and cross-functional collaboration. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive decisions and support the product roadmap. Help remove impediments and enhance Scrum adoption. Support backlog management with the Product Owner. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Scrum Master certification preferred. Strong experience with SAFe Agile methodology and best practices. Proficient in Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD). Hands-on experience with continuous integration tools for build lifecycle automation. Proven track record as a Scrum Master with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to quickly adopt automation frameworks with minimal guidance. Advanced knowledge in test automation tools such as Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
