Summary

OverviewApplies technical skill sets and knowledge to develop and employ complete and accurate test plans for implementation of new products and/or application enhancements. Responsible for functional and/or interface testing deliverables of Enterprise systems. Works with some supervision and is responsible for making established range of decisions, escalating to Manager and updating Manager on a regular basis.ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do: Assess functional requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide prompt and valuable feedback. Create traceability matrices, functional and/or integration test plans, test cases, test data, and expected outcomes for small to medium-sized projects. Review and obtain approval for test plans, test cases, and test data with business units to ensure comprehensive coverage of all procedures and system processes. Communicate and follow up on corrections with business units when deviations occur. Stay current with trends in business, Information Technology, and Software Quality Assurance through networking and training. Remain informed about strategies and major operational initiatives. Execute functional, regression, and/or integration test plans. Report, triage, and monitor defects for assigned work. Ensure quality metric data is collected and reported for each release Collaborate with senior SQA team members to identify test cases suitable for automation. Use IT-approved test automation tools to automate appropriate test cases according to SQA test automation standards. Work closely with senior SQA team members, development, and business teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements. Builds effective client and business relationships and credibility. Serve as a change agent across the enterprise for SQA services. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree In computer science or information technology or commensurate selection criteria experience - Required Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or quality control/testing in multi-platform environments. - Required Ability to identify, define, and solve moderate to complex problems using data collection and analysis - Required Knowledge of functional testing discipline - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey information to both internal and external customers. Ability to translate technical specifications into business terms. - Strong decision-making skills when faced with multiple options. - Aptitude for quickly learning new computer and technical concepts, such as databases, table-driven code, and testing tools, and applying them to business needs. - Self-motivation and experience working under limited supervision. - Effective team player with a track record of meeting deadlines and ensuring team success. - Maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations. - Manage multiple tasks and completing them accurately and on time - Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database applications and presentation software. - Current Certified Software Tester (CSTE) Upon Hire - Preferred Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) Upon Hire - Preferred ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL) Upon Hire - Preferred Quality Improvement Associate Certification (CQIA) Upon Hire - Preferred Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) Upon Hire - PreferredWork Setting/Position Demands: Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis. Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned. Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis. Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Performs substantial movement of wrists, hands, and fingers for continuous computer work.
