Summary

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated software quality assurance (QA) engineer and testing architect who can strengthen the software development lifecycle with extreme attention to detail and drive for execution.

About The Position

Our ideal candidate is extremely organized, has exquisite attention to detail, and takes pride in ownership and execution.

The selected candidate will help anchor a QA team that will grow in both size and responsibility over time.

Qualifications

  • Our team is not focused on degrees or years of experience, however for this role the candidate must have a real-world experience and applied understanding of the requirements listed below.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with creating automated functional tests.
  • FIX (Financial Information Exchange) Protocol.
  • Python.
  • Linux.
  • Git.
  • Gitlab. (Preferred, not required)
  • Nose / Nose2 (Preferred, not required).
  • Creative problem-solving skills, unafraid to “think outside the box”.
  • Attention to detail and nuance.
  • Experience in financial services. (front and/or back office) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Developing and improving software testing standards.
  • Creating reports and audits documenting QA tasks and progress.
  • Generating issues/bug reports and following through to resolution.
  • Communicating issue details with product owners.
