About The Role
We are looking for a
Backend Developer Intern to join our team.
What You’ll Do:
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in the following areas:
AWS Cloud Services
- What you'll learn: Develop an understanding of cloud services by assisting in the creation and maintenance of AWS Lambda functions, using AWS CloudWatch for monitoring, and learning about AWS CloudFormation for deploying infrastructure as code.
- Why it’s cool: Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard cloud technologies that are transforming how businesses build scalable applications.
Backend Development (Node.js)
- What you'll learn: Write and maintain backend services in Node.js, develop APIs, and integrate them with AWS and other cloud services. Learn how to test and debug these APIs to ensure they work seamlessly.
- Why it’s cool: Get real-world exposure to full-stack development and learn best practices for backend development with JavaScript, one of the most popular programming languages in the world.
Database Management (DynamoDB & Geospatial Data)
- What you'll learn: Work with DynamoDB, a NoSQL database service, and understand its key-value data model. Explore how geospatial data is handled and learn how to design solutions for geospatial queries.
- Why it’s cool: You'll be introduced to cutting-edge database management practices and get to work with geospatial data, which is highly relevant in modern applications like mapping, tracking, and location-based services.
Full-Text Search with OpenSearch
- What you'll learn: Learn how to integrate and optimize OpenSearch for full-text search capabilities, including indexing, querying, and managing large datasets.
- Why it’s cool: Understand how powerful search engines work and the importance of optimizing search queries to enhance performance in large-scale applications.
API Development & Integration
- What you'll learn: Gain experience building and maintaining APIs that are scalable and efficient, while following best practices for asynchronous API design.
- Why it’s cool: You'll dive into real-world API development and testing using tools like Postman, which is an essential skill for any modern developer.
Development Tools & Environment
- What you'll learn: Become proficient with industry-standard tools like Git for version control, Docker for containerization, and VSCode for code editing.
- Why it’s cool: You’ll learn how to work in a professional development environment and master tools that are crucial for software development.
Collaboration
- What you'll learn: Work closely with experienced developers in a collaborative setting, participate in brainstorming sessions, and contribute to code reviews.
- Why it’s cool: Learn how a professional development team functions, improve your collaboration and communication skills, and get real-time feedback from senior developers.
