About Huawei Hong Kong Research Center (HKRC)
Established in 2018, HKRC is a fast-growing international research center that focuses on chipsets, software engineering, AI and theoretical research. For a short span of five years, HKRC saw its staff increase from over 100 members in 2019 to more than 660 in 2024. They come from more than 35 countries and regions, with 61% being PhD holders.
Going forward, Huawei aims to capitalize on the unique strengths of Hong Kong, bring together high-end talents worldwide, and tap into quality resources from local universities to create a world-class research hub for technology innovation.
As a Software Engineer candidate, you should:
✔ Hold a bachelor’s degree or above, with graduation expected in 2025. Students who graduate later than 2025 will be considered as internship candidates.
✔ Major in computer science, electronics engineering, information engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics or other engineering-related disciplines (preferred);
✔ Have a good understanding of the following fields (a plus): compilers, operating systems, distributed systems, embedded systems, cloud services, system/program analysis and verification; and
✔ Be passionate about the tech sector, aspire to move the world forward, and have a strong career mindset to be part of Huawei’s vision and mission: to bring digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world.
✔ Experience in international competitions, such as ICPC, IOI, IMO, and IPhO, will be considered an advantage.
