Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Development Manager to lead our engineering team in developing cutting-edge software solutions for the telecom and IP networking domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in agile development methodologies, system architecture, and experience with managing secure and scalable systems and cloud native technologies. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage a team, drive technical excellence, and deliver high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance and innovation culture.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new team members.
- Plan and manage software development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team
- Ensure application are developed and tested for security and performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including product managers, architects, and other engineering teams.
- Leverage deep understanding of telecom and IP networking concepts to drive product development.
- Help translating business requirements into product features.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a management role.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Leading, mentoring, developing software engineers, identifying skill gaps, and hiring the right talent.
- Experience in design, development, and delivery of highly scalable and fault tolerant cloud native applications.
- Experience in developing/leading teams in common programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, GO)
- Driving the teams to Ensuring best practices, testing standards, and clean code
- Proven experience in the Telecom/IP networking/Network Management/Network Automation domain.
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
It would be nice if you also had:
- Deep understanding of IP technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPRN, VPLS etc..)
- Deep Understanding of network management protocols (SNMP, gNMI, NetConf, REST, RESTCONF).
- Experience in building of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps
- Experience and understanding of AI/ML or GenAI is an added advantage.
- Stakeholder Management and building relations with the customers in the region.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP)
