MaxMine is an entire improvement platform for surface mining loan and haul operations which performs advanced analytics and data science on a best in class operational data set gathered from mobile mining equipment to deliver significant cost savings and productivity gains to our customers across the globe. We don’t just deliver the technology however, we also walk the improvement journey with our clients, through our high touch engagement management where we work with and coach customer teams to identify and capture the most value for their operations using MaxMine’s products.

About The Role

The MaxMine office in Adelaide is looking for a Software Engineer Team Lead to lead our Product Engineering team. Our platform uses large scale data pipelines, distributed systems and real-time streaming to deliver insights to our customers with completeness and accuracy. To us, data is critical.

About You

You have demonstrated experience solving customer and user problems and you’re looking for an opportunity to step up and lead a team to deliver value at scale. There is significant scope for learning and development, as well as the chance to contribute to how we do things with new and innovative approaches.

As a Software Engineer Team Lead you will join a team that builds our user facing product experiences. You will partner with Product Managers and Designers to rapidly discover and deliver solutions to delight our clients and build viable products that sustain our business.

You will

• Work with your product and design peers to discover and prioritise customer problems and workflows
• Contribute as a hands on leader of a team of full stack engineers to deliver a prioritised roadmap
• Ensure work is broken down and planned appropriately to allow for regular deployment and release to customers
• Ensure a balanced flow of value from the team between roadmap and planning for emergent work
  
  

You have

• 5+ years experience building products with modern front end technologies, preferably React
• 3+ years experience building backends powered by relational databases
• 2+ years experience acting as a delivery lead in some capacity, either at a team or project level
• Demonstrated track record of delivering product outcomes using agile software delivery concepts and practices
• Ability to effectively communicate with and influence a variety of stakeholders, peers and team mates using a variety of media
  
  

These would be a bonus

• Experience building products on AWS (or major public cloud)
• Experience working in containerised / microservices environments
• Experience working with modern DevOps & SRE best practices, E.g. Release flagging, CI/CD, service level objectives
• Experience with Python and/or GoLang
• Understanding of Event Driven Architectures and Domain Driven Design
