Role Description

This is a full-time onsite role for a Software Engineer focused on medical devices located in Princeton, NJ. The Software Engineer will be involved with embedded C development for on-device firmware and peripheral integration, alongside Python scripting for manufacturing automation, testing, and validation of ventilator software. Responsibilities include helping develop production software, V & V activities, firmware programming, troubleshooting, debugging, optimizing software performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in embedded C programming and Python scripting
• Experience developing firmware for embedded devices and peripheral integration
• Experience in software validation and automation processes within regulated environments (medical devices preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with relevant software development tools and technologies
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 standards preferred
• Experience interfacing software tools with embedded hardware preferred
• Experience in full stack software development and knowledge of frontend web frameworks like React (Nice-to-have)
