Position Summary As a temporary employee in our Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (OMR) group, you'll assist with exploring and developing machine learning tools. These tools will aid in the creation of features to help the AGV perceive details about its environment. LOCATION: Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required. Duties And Responsibilities Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You'll be given open ended tasks and expected to find resources to help you achieve the goals with support from a mentor. You will work with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations. Qualifications REQUIRED: * 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Engineering. * Minimum 3.0 GPA * Experience with Microsoft Office * Experience with VCS tools like git * Experience with either of the following programming lanaguages: C++, C, Java, Python, Rust, Javascript * Experience with machine learning object detectors such as yolo or similar. * Experience with deploying machine learning models on edge devices such as nvidia jetson computers. * Experience with building, deploying, and interacting with docker containers. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future * No relocation or housing assistance is being offered. DESIRED: * Exposure to electronics and test bench setups, i.e. powering sensors/computers for interaction between each other.
