Software Engineer

Summary Description
Under the supervision of the Software Development Supervisor, the Software Engineer is responsible for developing custom web applications for the Wisconsin Court System and key stakeholders, assuring software quality, providing technical assistance, troubleshooting software issues, and providing technical expertise to the CCAP development team.
Collaboratively develop software applications
Provide technical assistance to customer support staff.
Deliver software to users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
2. At least 6 years of relevant programming experience
3. At least 6 years of experience in developing complex web applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
1. Training or experience in functional languages such as Scala, Haskell, Purescript, F#, Erlang, Self, Scheme, OCaml, or Clojure
2. Experience using Linux as a development platform
3. Experience developing web applications using PureScript, Scala, and PostgreSQL
Direction
The Software Engineer works under the general direction of a Software Development Supervisor. The position works on a collaborative basis with other Software Engineers, Project Managers, Database Administrators, and Business Process Analysts.
