About the Role - We are growing rapidly and are looking for a driven and versatile Software Engineer –(m/f/d), 100% to join our journey. This role is not just about writing code — it’s about taking ownership, shaping our software stack, and growing with a purpose-driven team that values initiative, responsibility, and entrepreneurial mindset.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement components for our battery software solution.
  • Define and evolve the software architecture across all system layers — from master BMS, through battery analytics, energy management systems, to the cloud.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that enable actionable insights into battery performance (SoC, SoH, degradation, etc.).
  • Work closely with hardware testing team for efficient commissioning workflows.
  • Support field deployments and take initiative in debugging, improving, and adapting the software based on real-customer feedback.
  • Document your work clearly, share knowledge, and continuously improve our SW engineering culture.
  • Contribute shaping product roadmaps, helping define what we build and how we build it.


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in software development, ideally in microservices, embedded systems, energy tech, or industrial applications.
  • Experience with battery system, energy management systems, battery algorithms or battery analytics is a clear plus.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and C/C++; experience with modern backend technologies is a plus.
  • Extensive experience working with docker.
  • Comfortable working with common version control tools and platforms; experience with CI/D pipelines is a plus.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols is highly beneficial (CAN, Modbus, MQTT, HTTP, etc.).
  • Strong analytical thinking — you can work with data and know how to turn raw signals into insights.
  • Bonus: experience in cloud-connected systems, IoT architectures.
  • Most importantly: a proactive mindset, a willingness to get your hands dirty, and the desire to build something meaningful with a small, fast-moving team.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
