We are looking for a Software Developer who enjoys keeping current in technology to help us develop a web application for data center management. Our award-winning web-based solutions help our customers understand and manage energy consumption, environmental conditions, and assets in their facilities.
We develop in a collaborative environment where our workday involves Rails, Ruby, RSpec, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Linux and GitHub,Java 17, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Tomcat 10, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA, and SCRUM.
Responsibilities
- As part of a team, design and implement end to end features using Ruby on Rails and Angular
- Developing and maintaining REST interfaces using Ruby on Rails
- Model infrastructure, power distribution, and cooling for data centers and other facilities
- Develop charts and analytics that give users insight into the energy consumption, savings, and environmental conditions at their facilities
- With assistance from senior engineers, work on overall architectural problems, particularly as they relate to integration, data transfer, scalability and performance
- Participate in feature discussions to flush out the requirements
- Provide real value for our customers
- Provide unit-test coverage for delivered code
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Good experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with REST API’s
- Linux user
- Excels when working as part of a small, highly skilled, product-focused team
- B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field
Skills
A candidate with any of the following will be at an advantage:
- Experienced with TypeScript and Angular (or other JavaScript frameworks such as React)
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
- Data center domain / Energy Management / DCIM tools
- JSON:API / OpenAPI / Swagger
