Position Description

Design and develop both the backend and frontend of a dynamic web-based user interface displaying 3D geospatial data from multiple real-time feeds. Excitement and eagerness to learn and apply new technologies in the airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission space. Development and application of advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in applying software to solve challenging problems. Design and development of graphical user interface applications with a focus on creating a solid overall system design. The position will provide opportunities to work directly with technical peers, chief engineers, systems engineering and program managers within the company.

Responsibilities

This job requires the candidate to perform software engineering tasks, inclusive of those identified below, with minimal supervision:

  • Work with senior engineers and customers to define and transform UX requirements into GUI mockups/prototypes and system designs
  • Design a UI backend that is flexible, performant, extendable, and maintainable
  • Design a UI frontend that is responsive, can display 3D geospatial data, and can process multiple real-time data feeds
  • Ability to teach and lead other experienced software engineers related to web technologies
  • Evaluate and leverage emerging software technology
  • Able to perform as an individual contributor and a technical leader as needed
  • Participating in customer meetings, peer reviews, and problem-solving meetings
  • Evaluates vendor SDKs/toolkits to provide required products or services
  • Identify potential solutions given technology, organization, and management constraints
  • Make critical decisions that define the direction for the software products/deliverables
  • Other related job duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • Five to ten years of experience in similar position

Preferences

  • Experience in MERN full stack design and development
  • Current DoD Top Secret SCI Security Clearance

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
