Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software Engineer: III Design System

Role: Sr Engineer Software Engineering - Design System

Duration: Contract 6+ month

Location: Madison, NJ 07940

100% Remote

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• - Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system for Anywhere Real Estate, encompassing UI components, patterns, documentation, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand requirements and contribute to scalable design system solutions.
• Help implement and optimize UI components and layouts using Angular, React, and Flutter frameworks, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, receive constructive feedback, and learn from senior team members to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Support QA testing during the implementation of the design system by cross-referencing the engineering build with the intended design.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in front-end development and design systems to contribute to innovation and maintain competitiveness.
• Work with Anywhere's accessibility expert to support and promote accessible code.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• - 5+ years of experience in front-end development with experience with maintaining design systems for complex web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Angular and Flutter frameworks, and experience with React, with a deep understanding of their respective ecosystems, architecture, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, design tokens, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with modern front-end tooling
• Experience collaborating with Designers using Figma
• Experience with design system repositories such as supernova and zeroheight a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Gitlab, bitbucket) and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
