About the Role:

As a Software Engineer II working on mobile platforms at Cyderes, you will design and develop mobile web solutions utilizing React Native, manage APIs and apply architectural principles to ensure scalable and efficient mobile applications. The candidate should have experience working efficiently on small teams, being flexible filling roles, and be familiar with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). Candidate should be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple high-priority demands while driving consistent results and have a passion for delivering well-engineered and tested code. We embrace the fast-paced development field and are looking for like-minded individuals that have a passion for continual improvement, innovative ideas, tinkering with new projects and taking on complex problems.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all team scrum ceremonies
• Participate in technical discussions and work with the team to design robust, secure, monitored and well-maintained systems
• Support a 24x7 team on-call rotation for production incidents
• Engage in code review to ensure high-quality code standards and foster knowledge sharing
• Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Work with CI/CD tools and processes to ensure seamless deployments
• Apply best practices in cybersecurity to safeguard mobile and web applications from potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Continuously learn about new mobile/web technologies
• Bring the right attitude to the team including accountability, ownership, and positivity
  
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Hands on experience with mobile app development and design, either native or hybrid platforms
• Minimum of 3 years in software development
• Experience working with React Native
• Experienced with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Upholds core values of accountability, integrity, empathy, and responsiveness
• Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and Docker
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Terraform
• Acquainted with observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog
• Understands best practices throughout the SDLC, encompassing code standards, PR reviews, build processes, testing and deployments
