The IS Software Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end development and quality of solutions and services that support bioinformatics efforts in cancer research and add strategic value to PSJH. This position specifically focuses on developing and optimizing bioinformatics tools, pipelines, and data analysis workflows to support genomic and clinical research. The engineer will work closely with researchers, data scientists, and clinicians to process, analyze, and interpret large-scale biological datasets, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of bioinformatics solutions. They evaluate requirements, estimate costs, and design and implement solutions and services that advance computational approaches in cancer genomics and precision medicine.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent educ/experience.
* 1 year of related experience; software engineering preferred.
* Experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, Python or equivalent.
* Experience with agile methodologies.
