Software Engineer shall be responsible for the module level (high and low) design, implementation, testing and integration of a variety of software solutions in the product line. The candidate should be able to effectively work independently within a team of technically strong engineers. They should be adhering to the schedules, standards and quality processes and procedures of the organization. Software defect resolutions, testing and maintaining the software is an important task of a Software Engineer.
The candidate shall contribute to the overall development including design, analysis and business requirements spanning across modules. Knowledge and ability to work with the entire software development life cycle process is essential for a Software Engineer.

Low level module design using UML
Contribute to the overall design
Propose alternate solutions/designs.
Develop high-quality and performance sensitive code using C++ and C# as part of the implementation
Unit testing & debugging of production software
Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications
Supporting and maintaining functionality of software for the product.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
Experience in usage of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, Static Code Analyzer tools, Debugging tools
Work with the Technical Leads to effectively understand and implement the solutions independently in accordance with the appropriate process.
Build the software for testing and product release, and ability to resolve build related issues
Develop and curate a range of supporting tools to test and evaluate AI models to support the data scientists and field operations reducing the time taken to perform training and evaluation.
Assist in debugging and testing the algorithms stand alone and within the AI framework Rapiscan has developed for x-ray images.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and products
Specific Knowledge And Skills
Core competency with strong development skills in C++ with knowledge of C++ 14 or higher
Must have experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design with UML. Experience with UML modeling tools such as Visio or Enterprise Architect required
Sound knowledge and experience of applying Design patterns required
Experience in C# and .NET framework will be a plus.
Experience programming in Python will be a plus.
Working experience with SQL databases (one or more of SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
Experience with Agile software development methodology
Knowledge of Unit Testing
Experience with Concurrent/multithreaded programming
Good experimental and troubleshooting skills
Functional Skills
Knowledge of Screening and Scanning technologies is a plus
Exposure to Security Systems domain is a plus

Qualifications
BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in CSE
Required 2 to 5 years of Software development experience using several of the skills and technologies
