Software Engineer - Front Office Analytics

Houston (on-site 4 days a week)

Join a leading commodities company as a software engineer sitting at the intersection of data, trading, and cloud technology. You’ll work directly with traders and analysts, building powerful tools and platforms that shape real-time decision-making on the trading floor.

The team operates globally across key markets, and you’ll be part of a wider data, cloud and engineering function that owns everything from market data ingestion to analytics and modelling.

The ideal candidate:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong coding ability in Python or Java, with front-end exposure to React
• Experience in cloud infrastructure - AWS preferred (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue)
• Experience with object-oriented programming and TDD
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, front office setting – ideally within commodities, banks, or hedge funds
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience
