Responsibilities

Grow Your Skills, Grow Your Potential

As a Software Engineer on our Life Accounting Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of Life Accounting processes to our new modernized Life platform. Additionally, you will be responsible for upgrading and supporting our current financial reporting needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the evolution of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement Life Accounting processes on our modernized platform.
• Upgrade and support existing financial reporting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize AWS for cloud-based solutions and infrastructure.
• Develop applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Participate in Agile processes to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
• Implement CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment workflows.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in AWS and experience with cloud-based architectures.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, specifically Python or Java.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  

Our Benefits

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

Hub Locations: Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; Bloomington, IL

Remote: Qualified candidates (outside of hub locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

• Potential starting salary range: $85,500 - $148,000
• Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
• High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
