Job Description

As a mid-weight front end engineer at AyataCommerce you will be primarily responsible to develop and support front end web applications for our clients: ensuring that they are operational, performant and of the highest quality. This role is targeted towards passionate developers, who are enthusiastic and highly driven towards creating rich, user focused applications. You'll need excellent communication and will have the opportunity to work on the creation, design & functionality within key projects, spanning across multiple clients of ours. This is a fully remote position, with flexibility to work from home.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building front-end web applications
• Deep understanding of ReactJS, Redux state container, and Webpack module bundler
• Proficient in JavaScript (including ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, closures, and types)
• Proficient in TypeScript
• HTML5 and CSS3 as part of theming real-world projects
• Good knowledge of responsive web design
• Understanding of pre-processed CSS platforms such as Sass or Less
• Good knowledge of micro-frontend architecture or working with component libraries/shared design systems
• Delivery of technical solutions with clean, well-tested code
• Proficient with unit testing and component testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
• Strong ability to debug code
• Demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
• Knowledgeable and experienced with micro-service architecture
• Active part of the engineering community; collaborates well with other developers
• Solid experience working in an agile development environment
• Experience with Git or other source control systems
• Proficiency in UI prototyping tools like Figma, InVision, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Exposure to performance monitoring tools like Lighthouse
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals
