Job Title: Software Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Software Engineer for a Submarine Program, where you will contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of software and tools. You will be involved in creating new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems, or embedded products, with tasks that include coding, testing, and documenting software solutions to advance technology.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with a cross-functional team to research, design, develop, and test software and tools.
* Create new work products or enhance existing applications, systems, or embedded products.
* Engage in coding, testing, and documenting software solutions.
Essential Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field such as Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
* 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree.
* Proficiency in C++ and at least two of the following: JavaScript (especially React), Linux (especially Redhat), Microservice development, Spring Boot.
* Possession of a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
* Eligibility for access to classified information following a U.S. Government security investigation.
* U.S. citizenship required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience with Agile methodologies.
* Experience with Kubernetes.
* Strong understanding of the software development process and software engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
* Creative thinker with the ability to quickly apply new information to solve challenging problems.
* Comfortable providing technical leadership.
* Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and celebrates team success.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Work Environment
Work on-site in Manassas, with the option for a 9/80 schedule. Be part of a team focused on creating new technologies and code, rather than legacy coding, with funding through 2027 and opportunities for involvement in IRAD projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.00/hr.
