Every year millions of people are either filing their taxes in fear or giving up on their tax refund altogether. We're working on fixing that. Our intuitive app enables anyone, regardless of education or background, to file their taxes with newfound confidence.

Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix, Steuerbot and TaxScouts, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. We speak our minds openly, and with over 400 professionals, including tax experts, developers, and IT security experts, we're rich in ideas and voices. Your Challenge

At Taxfix, we believe that doing your taxes shouldn’t feel like doing your taxes. As part of the DIFM (Do It For Me) team, you’ll be at the heart of building a radically simplified and intuitive tax-filing experience for our users—especially those who just want to hand it over and have it done right. Your challenge will be to scale the product so it can support a growing number of users without compromising performance, quality, or the joy users feel when they use it. You’ll work in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment, helping us uncover pain points and translate them into delightful user experiences. Your Responsibilities And Decisions

• Build and maintain scalable front- and back-end systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver new features that improve the DIFM user experience.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of code quality, testing practices, and architecture.
• Help evolve our CI/CD processes to support safe, rapid iteration while maintaining stability.
• Ensure the product’s technical performance meets our high bar while maintaining a smooth and responsive UX.
• Actively support knowledge sharing and mentoring in the team to help others grow their full-stack capabilities.
  
  

Your Profile

• You are a software engineer with around 2+ years of solid experience in both front-end and back-end technologies, or strong in one area with a passion to grow full-stack.
• You are proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript and can navigate confidently between them. You have hands-on experience building mobile experiences, especially using React Native.
• You thrive in agile environments and are used to shipping iteratively and learning from user behavior.
• You care deeply about product quality and user experience, not just code correctness.
• You’re a strong communicator, both verbally and written in English, and can work effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team.
