About the role

As a Data Engineer, Data Application, you will play a critical role in bridging data engineering and business strategy, ensuring seamless data-driven decision-making across multiple teams. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, product managers, analysts, and engineering teams to build scalable data solutions that empower stakeholders with accurate and actionable insights.

In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data models, ETL pipelines, analytics workflows and reporting dashboards to support our billion-dollar business. Your work will enhance operational efficiency, drive strategic initiatives, and maximize data-driven opportunities by enabling robust data accessibility and business intelligence.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and product teams to understand data needs and develop scalable solutions that drive decision-making.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of data from various business teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, enabling reliable insights for business operations and strategy.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes and database queries to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for sales, marketing, and finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer, or in a similar role supporting business teams.
  • Strong programming experience with Python, Scala, Java, C++, Go, or other relevant languages.
  • Expertise in relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Experience with big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Flink is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, EMR, RDS, and EKS is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional business teams and translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
