C++ Engineer – Exchange Connectivity (CeFi)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Engineer to join a small, elite team working at the intersection of low-latency infrastructure and centralized crypto finance (CeFi). In this role, you will take ownership of exchange connectivity, building and optimizing critical paths that power trading strategies across a variety of major centralized exchanges.

This position is ideal for engineers who thrive in performance-critical environments and want to build systems that directly impact trading outcomes. You'll work in a collaborative, engineering-first environment with minimal bureaucracy and a strong emphasis on autonomy and results.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain low-latency C++ systems to connect with CeFi exchanges.
• Develop robust order entry and market data pipelines for major crypto exchanges (REST, WebSocket, FIX, proprietary protocols).
• Profile, benchmark, and tune code for optimal performance under production conditions.
• Interface directly with exchanges to troubleshoot connectivity issues, onboard new venues, and adapt to evolving APIs.
• Work closely with strategy developers and infrastructure teams to support trading needs in real-time.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional C++ experience, ideally in a high-frequency or low-latency trading environment.
• Strong command of modern C++ (C++17 or newer), with a focus on performance, memory management, and concurrency.
• Experience working on exchange gateways, market data handlers, or order routing infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/UDP, WebSockets, FIX) and multithreaded programming.
• Excellent debugging, profiling, and system-level troubleshooting skills.
• Self-driven, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with crypto exchanges and their API ecosystems (Binance, Coinbase, OKX, etc.).
• Exposure to exchange connectivity protocols in traditional finance or crypto (FIX, ITCH, OUCH).
• Experience working in distributed systems or event-driven architectures.
• Background in systems programming or performance engineering.
