API Integration: Build and maintain RESTful APIs, integrating them with front-end and third-party systems. Database Management: Work with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and optimize queries. Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance and ensure scalability and efficiency. Collaborate with Frontend Team: Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend systems. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards. Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in production and development environments. Testing & Documentation: Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, and create thorough documentation for APIs and backend services. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in Node.js development. Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in JavaScript: Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and event-driven architecture. Experience with Node.js: Proven experience in building server-side applications using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js. Database Knowledge: Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and understanding of ORMs (e.g., Sequelize, Mongoose). Version Control: Proficient with Git and version control workflows. API Development: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with authentication protocols like OAuth, JWT. Error Handling: Ability to debug and resolve issues related to Node.js applications and server configurations. Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks like Mocha, Chai, or Jest. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Collaborative: Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, React, Angular, etc.). Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Knowledge of serverless architectures and frameworks. Experience in microservices architecture and message queuing (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
