Position Focus
This position, reporting to the Associate Director, Financial Systems and Solutions, will be a member of the development team supporting the Yale Finance systems. The primary focus will be in the area of Source to Pay (requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, suppliers, procurement card imports, settlements, etc.), but will also support other Finance functions/systems. The person in this position must have the capacity to understand technical concepts but be able to communicate in a non-technical manner with functional users. This role will collaborate with other members of the team to ensure the development of consistent business architecture across the Finance applications at Yale. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of financial and source to pay (S2P) software applications. Strong expertise in integrations and WebMethods ensuring a positive end-user experience through effective coding, peer code reviews, testing, debugging, and maintenance. Experience with the Jaggaer One system. Knowledge of Tungsten Software (electronic invoicing) and Workday Finance would be a plus. Provide support and guidance to users, helping to resolve issues related to system usage and performance. This includes providing on-call and 24/7 support when necessary. Research, analyze, and document software specifications, making necessary modifications throughout the production life-cycle to maintain optimal performance and alignment with project goals. Contribute to the creation and execution of project specifications and plans, managing projects with straightforward interdependencies to ensure successful completion.
Essential Duties
- Design, analyze, code, test, debug, document and maintain moderately complex enterprise systems; develop enhancements that enable a positive end-user experience. 2. Research, analyze, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. 3. Create and implement project specifications/plans for projects with straightforward inter-dependency with other systems and/or projects. 4. Modify moderately complex application programs from detailed specifications. 5. Develop and validate test routines and schedules, evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
