As a member of Oracle Construction & Engineering GBU product development organization, you will design and develop features in the Textura Payment Management (TPM) Application. You will join a fast paced and growing team to build the best solutions available for the construction industry.

Since 2005, our team has built solutions for contractors and construction companies to manage their projects and risk. Python has been the language of choice for our team for over a decade and it continues to be the heart and soul of what we do today.

Responsibilities

Oracle’s Construction & Engineering GBU product development organization builds and supports the best cloud solutions available for the construction industry. The Textura Payment Management (TPM) application provides a collaborative solution for managing construction invoicing and payment processes. TPM facilitates billions of dollars of B2B payments every month.

We are seeking a Team Lead on the core TPM development team. Our team owns the client facing interface TPM customers use daily. You will join a fast-paced, high-profile software development team. This position provides an opportunity to lead a team in designing, developing, and supporting critical client solutions. You will manage software engineers and support them in their career development through coaching and mentoring. Additionally, you will need to drive architecture decisions and participate in defining future enhancements and the product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 5-8 talented engineers
  • Identify, recruit, and retain strong engineering talent
  • Establish and develop best practices for the team and help adopt relevant technologies, tools, and methods
  • Drive software architecture decisions and contribute to the direction and strategy of the team
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams across multiple regions


Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Information Services is preferred)
  • 2+ years of managing a software development team
  • 4+ years of hands-on development experience in Python
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing dynamic client-side interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience at an organization with strong operational/devops culture
  • Ability to translate customer requirements and features into design specifications
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of cloud services at scale
  • High degree of knowledge in Web Services and cloud native architecture
  • Experience with agile/test driven methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner
