We are seeking an enthusiastic Software Development Manager to lead a team of software engineers while proactively driving the vision for software engineering across the entire legal organization at Meta. Our Legal Analytics, Data, & Development team in Global Legal Operations and Strategy (GLOS) is passionate about working with cross-functional teams to improve their operational efficiency through the development of tooling and infrastructure. This person will be responsible for engaging a multitude of stakeholders in and outside of Meta's Legal department, to formulate and drive the execution of cutting-edge technical solutions to an array of emerging problems.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 8+ years of experience with software or applications development. Proven track record of architecting and building software systems at scale. 3+ years of experience hiring and managing software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development to the members of the team Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Hack, PHP, Python, JavaScript, React Proven experience designing and building software solutions that drive scale and automation Experience driving cross-functional standards and best practices and setting the bar when it comes to design and build quality Experience driving initiatives that elevate organization's people, technology and processes Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering 10+ years of experience in software development Experience working with operational teams to build custom solutions Experience using data analysis to troubleshoot production systems and diagnose problems Experience multitasking and working in an unstructured environment of fast growth and ambiguity
